Rave valves

I am seriously thinking of buying a 2001 Venture 700 .It has 700 km on it
I have been advised by freinds to stay away from it as it has rave valves and they are a lot of trouble . I have also been told that with so few km in that many years the crank bearrings could be rusted .My problem is the
O5 RS Venture is twice as much money as the 02 would I ever save that much on gas and oil and repairs . I would like to know what others think
about this . I ride about 2000 miles per year .

A 2001 Venture does not have rave valves...SkiDoos sleds have rave valves....but anyway the 01 Venture is the same motor as the 700sx...great motor.

I just checked my manuel and you right . It has reed valves that means I don't have to use synthetic oil .
