A little more info would be helpfull. Are you just trying to make it better or has something changed? Miles on sled, fuel usage, mods.......

Keep your thumb out of the throttle or sell it and get a 700 triple. I'm assuming you have a twin and those puppies like to drink gas.

What year XT? I was lucky to get 8 MPH with my 96 XT 600 in stock form.
With a thinner 95 head gasket and Maxx perf clucth kit it gets 10 MPG all day long. 13 MPG is my best to date.
Maxx Perf has a kit that comes with a thinner head gasket and all the clutch tuning parts for the 97-99 twins.
