Ripsaw vs. Hacksaw vs. Six Pitch

I'm running a Ripsaw with no studs on my SRX - hooks up good, but not as good as I would like in loose snow - curious how the Hacksaw and/or the Six Pitch does in loose snow - thanks
 
I have the Hacksaw with no studs and I love it. Its awesome on trails, and good in loose snow. I have the 1" with no studs but you can get it pre-drilled.
 
If you think the Ripsaw sucks in loose snow, don't get the Hacksaw!! The only way to get better hookup in loose snow is go to a taller lug or a "full bar" track.
 
I have run all three and let me tell you right now that the six-pitch takes the cake hands down. Though the ripsaw does well on hardpack, it is extremely overrated IMO. The ripsaw will just dig a hole in powder or loose stuff. The ripsaw is also not quite as durable as the sixpitch. On top of that, the Ripsaw takes of noticable topspeed. The sixpitch is definitely the way to go. Not only does it perform just as well on the hard pack as the hacksaw and ripsaw, it will destroy those two tracks in the loose snow or powder. It also does not take off as much topspeed. I almost always recommend the sixpitch over the ripsaw or hacksaw for the reasons stated above. I truly don't think that you can go wrong with either of those three tracks though. Miles ahead of the stock tracks.
 
the six pitch is BETTER in deep snow than the ripsaw and hacksaw, but spec is right if you want the best loose snow performance you need a taller lug with more of a full block pattern. Need lugs with a lot of frontal area.
 
I installed a 6 pitch 1.25" on my sled last week and I went riding in 30+ " of fresh stuff and I got threw it NO problem with my shorty, plus the acceleration difference is amazing compared to the stock track.
Get the camp 6 pitch predator 1.25" hands down!!!!
 
2000srx - are you running 1" or 1.25"? - any studs?
srxspec - what is an example of a "full bar" track? - looked around and only saw .725" full bar ice type tracks

Iv'e got a 9930 six pitch, 1.5 lug and it rocks out! On loose trails it pulls the skis, and dogs out my neighbors f-7 with a 1.375" track.
 
The 9818 is a great 1.25" track. Ski Doo has one that works well too, I know Turk has ran it before, he might have the part number for it as well.
 
I have a Skidoo SnowX 1-3/8 full bar on my 780. Its a stiff full lug, mega hook on just about anything, but its not a top end track by any means. Works good from SD to the Snowies. ;)!

i have the 1.25" and i do not have studs and i think srxspecs means a track that has like a "paddle" profile just like the 6 pitch or the A/c 1.378 ect...
 
The 9830 is one of the best all around tracks you can put on your srx/viper and still stud it without having to change drive cogs and gearing. Some people are able to fit a 1.25" lug under no problem but others arent as lucky. I recommend the 9830 to aanyone who enjoys lake racing and trail riding. If you go off in the powder alot go with the 9818. IT is a toss up to the riders riding style.
