Hey just put the new billet riser and Pro-Tapers on my sled. Absolutely love the way it's set up. Would recommend to anyone that loves to ride standing up.

Actually I cut it down myself. I just lined it with duct tape on both sides and used a saber saw. I was surprised with how well it turned out.

It's A Stock 144x2" Mountain Viper Track. Hey By The Way The Idea For My Orange Handgurds Came From Your Sled. I Loved The Contrast In Color. I Also Just Got My Bender Single Pipe. After Asking You Questions About It A While Back I Finally Bought One. I Appreciate Your Help On That Issue. I'm Putting It On Saturday.
I Was Told To Re-use The Stock Doughnut Between The Pipe And Can. Is That True?
 
I found that they are two very different sleds. The m7 is awesome in the powder but not worth a damn on a hardpack trail. I am contemplating swapping out the attack 20 track and putting a finger track on it. That would help the trail ride a lot. As you may know, the mountain viper is soso in the powder but excellent on the trails. If I had to choose one I would have to go with the M7. I realize that comment is very dangerous on a website called totallyamaha but it's my honest opinion. The rider foward positioning on the M7 is great. I do love my viper though, can't beat the ergos and dependability. But the places that M7 153" takes my 6'2" 280 pound frame is unbelievable.
 
Thanks, they actually are a little short for me. I am thinking about raising them another 2"

-How high are youre billet riser?
-what kind of pro taper bars? (is there only one?)
-did you have to change cables, or brake line, doing this?
-Could you do me a BIG favour, and measure the lenght from the clamps that the riser is mounted in, and all the way up to where the grips are on the handlebars?

Thinking of this myself, using mountain cables and brakeline..

Hey Ola, I put a 5" Rox riser on it with Pro-Taper contour CR High Bend handlebars. I was able to keep all of the same cable just re-routed them a little bit to get some extra play. The riser is really good looking, great finish work, but I have one complaint, there are no grooves cut where it clamps into the steering post. Even when I tighten down the clamps as tight as I can my bars still tend to roll a bit. That is the only thing though. I'm trying to figure out what to do to get them to quit rolling back. When I figure it out I will let you know. As for the height, my sled is stored 100 miles away from me and the next time I see it will be the weekend of the 4th. I believe the height is around 7 1/2 inches tall. When I get up there I will confirm that.
