Can anyone tell me what the difference is between these BR9ECS's, one having a color of bronze or brass and the other plug having a color of silver. This difference is from the hex down to the bottom of the threads, I know it's not the solid top or the screw on top. Is it the gap that differs between them, if so does anyone know which is which? I believe that it has been brought up on here before. Any help is appreciated.

some of the gaps are different. some are gapped .028-.031 and some are gapped .018-.021 ngk warns you not to gap the ecs plugs due to the fragility of the electrode. they have 4 stock numbers for these plugs solid and screw top for each of the two gaps. some are different colors than others. at one time i thought the silver was the larger gap but i have seen the shorter gapped plugs in silver as well. ngk might have been expirimenting with coatings for corrosion resistance. check the gap to see which ones you have. the srx should have the larger gap plugs. ski
