here is the deal,
1994 Yamaha V-Max 600 3k miles.
Last weekend my g/f and I were up in Land O Lakes Wi. First day we did over 200 miles with no issues. Just at the end of the day my girlfriend says somethings wring w/ the sled, there are times we are all doing 50- 60 and she cant get the thing up and over 35 mph.
Its not all the time, I drove it and its like you can put the throttle ALL the way down, and it will just stay at say 35, rpms will not climb. Then sometimes if you start from a stop at full throttle it will climb up over 50, if you keep it at that speed its fine, but once you go below say 40 - or 35, you cant get back up again.
Any suggestions? Dirty carbs? Sled only has 3k miles or so and have not had any other issues w/ it.
It also does NOT seem to have a whole lot of power, but I guess I don't know what to expect, i am just comparing it to my Formula III 600, but this one is also a 600 and can NEVER keep up with my fIII from the line, or at top end. (but it was like this even before this issue)
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Mike
