Paint Spec For A Blue SXr

Does anyone know the paint spec or color code for the blue used on the SX / SXr sleds?

they have it right in a spray can i used it to do the hood on my xtc. the sled in my signature the eXTaCy link. if u wanna use auto paint i belive the code is in the tech pages under misc..

heres the dupont # J3852K .they can cross that over to any brand and type of paint.what you looking to paint?

i got mine from a yammie dealer its called dark purplelish blue metallic 180.00 a quart for base coat

I'm going to paint the hood Rich. I've always liked the blue sleds and never really cared for the graphics on the red one.
Thanks for the Dupont number. I saw the PPG number on the tech pages.

i would just get a pint of urethane base ( either ppg or dupont) ppg has generic brand called omni which is good for complete jobs like your hood.they will give you the needed reducer and then get a cheaper clear such as marhyde brand.but after all that you would be cheaper just to prep it and have a shop paint it unless you plan on painting other items.or you might even just find a blue hood cheap.

Most likely I'll end up just getting a hood. I'm in no hurry, I don't plan on doing this this season. This summer I'm going to do an extensive cleaning and tuning job on the sled and will do the color change then.
