It looks like my oil pump arm spring is brokenon my 94 VMAX 600. My machine used almost a gallon of oil 175 miles riding. It has been a oil pig since I bought it. They do not sell just the spring. Has anyone bought a different kind spring that will fit. I really don't want to spend $165 on a new oil pump. That's the only thing I can see that may cause it too use that much oil. I am out of adjustment on my cable.

I'm thinking it wouldn't return the arm all the way thus pump more oil.
