exhaust can mod, vmax 600 2002

so.... I pulled my can and took a look down the end. I am not thinkin mine looks like the picture. First off, is it supposed to be a straight shot? Mine has an angle. Second, from the picture it appears there is a hole already there straight in. On mine the hole was on the back side of the can, all the way back. And it had a baffle on it. Looked like a machine gun barrel vent. tube with a bunch of holes.... I thought if I put a second two inch hole it would be the equivalant of a straight pipe. Is that my goal? Or will it be significantly louder with two holes coming out of the baffle? I like the sounds of the mod. I did the skis today, probably do head gasket next week. Unless it by chance snows and I can ride the darn thing.... Help please

you want to drill from the exit port. at first your going to have to angle your holesaw to get it in the can, but then you can drill straight down once it clears the bend. The things that look like vent hole are just reenforcement for heat, they have nothing to do with sound. Pretty much it is going to be like a straight pipe, but exhaust will still be flowing the new path, and the stock path. do it, it sounds so sweet. love mine

thought i replyed to this last night... well if it comes up twice, sorry... I am going to pop it back out and drill it.... what the heck... if it is too loud guess that is an excuse to do something different.
