I am just trying to gather information on Running quads on a Vmax 4, I run Bender Quads on my 95 800 and run 145 mains per benders spec sheet, stock jetting was 143.8 mains, now I have been told that unless I run race fuel and jet down further I will not gain the 14hp claimed by bender......as pump gas is not as good as it was......can anyone shed any light on this fuel situation???? I was basically told by running these with close to stock jetting and pump gas I will gain nothing......anyone?????? I got this info from Vmax4.com, just trying to get more info on this subject!

Don't know much about the Bender quads, but the PSI quads called for a leaner jetting over stock - that is from a spec sheat that is 10 years old - fuel quality in the past 10 years has definetly dimmished - any time you start modifying a 2 stroke engine you are going to want to pay close attention to the fuel you are putting in it - race fuel mixture's are the safest way to do that - but it also depends on how much power you want to squeeze out engine - are you trail riding or racing? - if you are trail riding, you are probably going to want to leave safer jetting in it which equates to less power
