There is oil output from the tank but nothing from the pump.
Belt is tight enough. There is the correct spec but this was done on the trail in Canada so maybe it's a loose now that it's back in Michigan.

I can't believe that pump failed, they just don't break, it's just a rotating sleeve with a plunger in it, I think I know where that box o 500 is, I'll give ya the pump, but I want to take the bad one apart..................

a shaft in side could have broken from water getting in the oil and freezing in the pump. happened too my buddies XLT600. snaped the shaft right of some how. or the seals could be gone or something pluging or jaming the intake. if its a gear pump one of teh teeth could have broken off and jamed. were doin hydrolic pumps right now in class and theres alot of things that can happen to make them fail. mostly comes from contamination tho.
