Weight Question

Just got some new 8DN-20 weights - they are listed as 42.09 grams but when I weighed them they are 43.3 grams - should I file the rivots to reach an aquired weight or file the weight to what it suppose to be?

the weights are 42.1 grams with no rivets in them. you add different rivets of different weights to get your desired weight. Shouldn't have to grind anything. Just drill out the rivets that are in there if they are too heavy.

What I'm saying is they are 43.3 empty - brand new weights - thats 1.2 grams off

I think the weights are scaled without the bushing, although I'm not sure if the bushing would be 1.2 grams.

That makes sense - I think it could be that much - they are over a 1/16" thick - I'm good! - Thanks!

I'd bet the bushings weigh over a gram each, easy. And since they are not really swinging weight, they are probably not figured into the equation.
