for a wifes sled? My friend Dan and I are considering a couple for sale locally. What would be a fair price for one with low miles?

i paid 2000 for my 2000 sxr700 id say right around that price for a 2002 i bougt mine last year. they are a nice sled. morepowerfull then the 600 twin but not as much a the 700. alot of my buddies girls ride 600s no problem and a few of them are yamie triples.

They handle really good, make that Extremely good (easy to handle), and the triple has awsome reliability (like all yams), and is good on gas, not to mention the awsome sound too.
Not sure the american $$, but up here, iv seen them for around $4000-$5000

Thanks guys. I went and looked at it. Really nice. 1400 miles. I offered him 2800. seems fair. Gonna pick it up tonight. That will make 4 yammi's for me. Well, 2 for me, 2 for mamma.
2800 is fair.... i just talked to a guy that sold one with 1200 ish miles for 2400....
i would say for an 02 sxr 600 anywhere from 2200-3000 depending on miles/condition and how bad the owner wants to sell is good....
i got 2400 out of my wifes 00 sxr last year (preseason).... and felt i did really well. and it had 4600 miles on it....

Average 13mpg, never worse than 10 though. Great sled, needs clutching to fix the overrev problem.

GREAT sleds. Ride very nice if you take the time to set the suspension up correctly. Rock solid reliability. Cheap and easy to get a few more horse out of them. Good on gas. Handle AMAZING. Ski lift is almost non existent on the sx's and sxr's.
