:yrules: My friend just got a 99 Mach Z 800, My brother inlaw has a ZR 900 and I have a SRX 600. They keep bashing yamaha's. Can a SRX 700 beat those sleds? What do i need to kick there butts?

The ZR is about even with an SRX700 stock, but the mach Z, your never going to catch up top on that 600. Maybe the 700 with quite a few mods, but you can say goodbye to reliability, unless its dialed in pefectly for every ride. This gets annoying, jetting and clutching, unlesss you really like doing that kind of stuff.

You remind me of a buddy of mine, he felt his 7oo wasn't fast enough so he went to a bigger sled, after he wrapped it around a tree he has gone back to his 700. What type of trails to you ride?? Alot of lakes???I have a 7oo v-max xtc and can easily keep up to most on the trails but if someone drives like an idiot it will not matter what size of sled you buy. I'm alittle older than some but always laugh when guys talk about how fast their sleds go. One guy I talked to this weekend had just bought a monster of a sled for lake runs he said. He informed me when asked that he had been on 1 lake this season...Maked sense to me right?????Diceman

Go out and get yourself an Attack... and then never look back... except to see your buddies sleds blowing up trying to keep up!

Rambunctious's 2000 SRX700 has a few clutch mods (helix change, spring change) and he routinely beats an 04 and an 05 800 MXZ... so there you go for what that's worth.

Oh, and he beats a brandy new Poo 700 pro X with some minor mods done to it. Love those SRX's!!!!

Although a 700SRX will beat both of those in a straight line, its in the woods that require the skill. Anyone can pin the throttle and go. I have ridden with faster sleds then my SRX... in a straight line.

Waterfoul, there is a huge difference between the MXz and a Mach Z. The 99 Mach was an animal of a lake sled. Good luck with that.

Gezzz....why worrie about it!!! let them talk all they wan't and when you
gota turn around and go back for them because they blew her up,,than
you can do the talking.:) :yam:

with a 700 you should take the 900 but you better hope that mach pops while your running him.i believe alot has to do with traction though. but all in all if you at least run with them i believe you should be the 1 bragging running with couple of the bigger sleds with a 600 or a 700.
