You can see the missing part of the piston in the first and second pic (which is the exhaust side of the piston)

Did you figure out what was making it run lean?

consensus here is that I got coolant in that cylinder... as soon as it's all buttoned up and started again I'll be doing the starter fluid check on the crank case seals though.

Way ahead of you on that one! Picked up a bunch more plugs at lunch today... can never have enough plugs!

Be careful foul,,it's hard to read a "new" plug properly.
I'd put a old good set in.

All my old "good" ones are pretty sticky due to the little bit of coolant that got into the crank case... i just want to get it running at idle on new plugs and then put in a dependable set... but I need snow to do that and we have NONE!

Tough break. I just did the same thing to my mag side cylinder, huge chunk out of exh. port side... no idea what caused it. My ski-doo buddy isn't shutting up about it "ya my ski-doo treats me pretty good" I have to bite my lip instead of saying "if yours did the same thing you wouldn't have made it home". Oh well, i've had worse happen in a day.
Get it going soon so you can go ride in the mud! lol.
