Turk, Thanks for your help/suggestions on the clutching. To refresh your memory, I have a 99sx 600 with a 1.25 ripsaw track no studs or mods. With stock clutching, it was overreving to 8900-9100. You recommended the following:

stock primary
8ab with .8 in the tip
green secondary 3-3 twist
51-43 helix.

Sled is reving to 8300-8400 then backing off slightly to 8100-8200. Should the tip weights be removed or weight added to the rear hole or both?

Thanks

YS

Your sled won,t pull that 51/43 helix with 8ab weights. Your gonna need something around a 48/40.

clutching help

Turk sent you an email asking for input on clutching my 01 stock sxr 700 and the wifes sxr 600.I will try here both stock except for bender silencers and a little leaner jetting.I bought a different helix and spring which is from bender to match their silencer.Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have posted a 01 700 sx-r set up & 600 triple set ups a kazillion & 1 times on here. Try a search...but 1 last time
700 sx-r=4.5 gram rivets in both holes with a 51/43 helix
600 triple = 3.6 gram outer rivet for a lighter rider & a 3.1 gram for 180 pounds plus.

Turk, If the sled is unable to pull that helix with 8ab weights, are there weight that will work rather than swapping out helix's?

Thanks

YS

Stock weights will work with that helix. Try the 3.6 inner & a 3.1 outer for starters
