Yamaha oil pump

When checking the free play on Yamaha oil pumps, which way is more oil. The manual says 25mm +/- 1. Is 26 mm more or less oil. Yamaha dealer won't even answer my question because I maintain my own sleds. I will not bring in a sled to set the oil pump for $75 per hour shop rate.

Are you kidding??? i would find a new dealer.

smaller the gap in the cable measurement= more oil

I would find a new dealer. They should still give you advice.

I beleive the smaller the gap the more the oil ( it pulls the pump open faster )

if the cable gap is adjusted smaller, it would be the same as giving a little throttle , right?

I doubt that yamaha wanted less oil on more throttle?

Or am i way off?
