While running Larks Lake this weekend I got a chance to stretch the new sleds' legs. 38 degrees F 2 inches of soft snow on top. I have 144 studs otherwise stock. Lanches nice but after 300 ft or so tach shows 9100+ rpms than drops to 87-8800. Top speed on meter 90-95 mph GPS recorded max 84. I saw a clutching suggestion last week here for that machine. Should I try it?

Tighten

In those conditions and temp - you can tighten the secondary one position - put it back in fast running conditions.

Sounds like typical 600 over-rev!
Is it still stock?
Add 2gms to the tip or get a new primary with the same inital & 30-40lbs less tension at shift out.
Also sounds like the secondary is wrapped a hair to much?? 80* is about right.
