Has anyone else put the newer style soft hand grips on their 97-99 sled with the ribbed style hand grips?I put a set on my 98 SRX 700 a few years ago and have been having problems with the thumb warmer not getting very warm at all.I ohmed everything out from the grips,thumb and even the coils on the mag and all are within spec,I even changed the regulator for the warmer circut and the thumb lever too but no difference.I'm not completely possitive the thumb warmer started acting up when I changed the grips but it seems to me it was right around that time.I hooked up a voltage source to the thumb warmer itself and it seemed to heat up if I remember right so I dont think theres anything wrong with the heating coil.Does the newer style warmers draw that much more current that it would affect the thumb warmer this way?As fate would have it I sold my old warmers so putting them back on is out
