OK, I got the sled.
Nice machine.
Now, i need to know a bit more about how to use it.
What conditions, trail, snow....etc.
Is it a racer or can it be driven in the woods?

Dario

That sled will probably do just about anything you want to do with it. Trails... off trails... Just don't put a dent in those front "pogo stick" shocks... you won't like the cost or replacing one... so in other words... play in the woods but stay off the trees!!

Top speed will be around 90 to 95 on the speedo (in good conditions) which is about 85 on a GPS. But don't hold it there all day long... trust me.

Sled should corner well on tight trails.

I am as new to snowmobiling as the next snowfall.....
I repaired an old Safari that belongs to my bother-inlaw a couple of weeks ago, and we tried it and enjoyed the ride.
I then tried to find a second machine so my 2 boys 14 and 16 can enjoy the trails together, but I never thought this machine(VMAX) was this huge and beautiful.
I want to thank you guys for some good advice, and some good answer to some newbee questions I will be posting.......

I can't say enough about reading through the tech section on the main site. Even if the stuff doesn't apply directly to your 95, alot of it will be usefull. Its a great groomed trail sled but will be a little hard on the kidneys if it gets rough. Get a dirt bike kidney belt and wear it. I wore mine every outing on my 93 Exciter SX, you never know when you'll run into a rough section of trail.

That suspention isn't too bad but you have to pull it out and compleatly
go through it ,clean it, and grease it with low temp grease.

The '95 600 is a great sled, plenty of power, good looks, just keep it maintained and she'll do good for ya. The stock rear suspension is awful though, I tried everything to improve the ride, new shock, cleaned, greased, bla bla bla, nothing helped, so I put an '03 RX-1 skid under it and wow, what a difference, it rides beautifully now. If the ride quality is important to you I would reccomend doing this, you can pick up good used skids for 200-300 bucks and there is plenty of info on the site on how to install them. Have fun! ;)!

The wife rides the 95 with a Comet rear shock and she is quite happy with it. But she is just a trail rider. I had removed the skid an installed grease fittings EVERYWHERE on it years ago which helped alot.
Here are acouple of pic's. I never miss a change to show them off. Welcome to the sport, Enjoy the site.
