I have been kicking around upgrading my primary on my 94 VMAX 600 ST. I have a couple shallow grooves in my primary. My sliders are wearing and I beleive I need stiiffer springs and different weights and rollers are showing signs of wear. I have upgraded my secondary to a 96 newer style and considering going with the Comet 108 EXP primary. Does anyone currently use this clutch. Is it a decent upgrade from my stock clutch? Pros and cons of using it. I want to get a few more yeras out of the old 94. I updated the skid this year to a 2000 Venture 600 pro-action skid. Seems like I may be better off going with new. My clutch has 4400 miles on it.

For cost it might be worth it by the time you fix that up you are probably looking at 2-300 and you can get the 108 for around 300 w/out weights ect... so i guess its gonna be 100-200 more for the 108 but i am sure performance wise the 108 is better then the stock one

My 108 EXP seems to work fine, but I don't really have enough time on it yet. I am using it because I got a good deal on one. Years ago the 108 was a good upgrade over the Yami clutch, but from what I have heard a newer (96+) clutch is much better. I would think you could find a good Yami clutch on eBay for less money. You would have more tuning options and if you are like me(not very good at clutch tuning) the other TY members that have more experience tuning the Yami clutch and could help more. Tuning parts would also be very easy to find. Other members are always getting rid of stuff in the classifieds.
