I have a '97 Mt Max with a 2000 M-max Motor.
The current setup is Power Inc. Pipes (End Dumps),
Stock primary clutch, Bender orange spring, stock weights alum (10.3) in both holes.
MPI Roller Secondary 44/38 helix, green spring @ 90 degrees, Head gasket is split. Air box Mod.
Jetting 132.5 mains, 60 pilots needle in 1.5, fuel screw 2.5 turns out, reed spacers
19/40 gearing, 9 tooth anti-rachets, 151 2" track.
I had the secondary @ 60 it ran good but could not get the r's over 8100 so I tightened it up to 90 now I am still low @ 8500 r's. On a track up a hill it does not gain speed it just levels off.
My 2000 pulls and gains spead all the way up to the top of the trail then busts out the top like it wants to go somewere. But my '97 does not want to keep pulling.
Any Ideas?????????
Less helix??
Stiffer Spring??
Drop a rivet in weights??
42 tooth lower sprocket??
