Tunnel Protectors - Are they just slides?

Are tunnel protectors just slides?

What is the procedure for installing these? Rivets?

I'm just trying to remember way back when I put them on my 97 700SX, but I am pretty sure they are thicker than a hyfax, like twice as thick if not more.

As far as installation, I think you pull the seat and install with rivits....

He is correct, drill holes and rivet after removing seat. Id reccomend the aluminum protectors over the plastic ones though.

They're thicker than regular hyfax. Installed with rivets over the track windows. More forgiving than aluminum.

Working on my '79 exciter tonight. Protectors are wood- looks like deck rail slats. Go figure...
