95 vmax revving issues....

hey..

i have a 95 vmax.. when i'm at full throttle she revs to 8200 ish then drops gradually to 7100 rpm.. within 1/4 mile..

the speed also drops..

just wondering what will cause this.. dirty fuel filter? weak fuel pump?? tired plugs??

Don't forget the clutches.....

clutches need to be lubed up??

what do you need to do to them?

They need to be inspected for wear. Rollers, weights, cam sliders, bushings, springs. They don't run forever and the twins were a little harder on them from what I understand. If you have any binding or grooving in the sheaves, it may act like you're describing. Do a search on clutches, read the tech section on the main site.
