I love my dual color 65/55 Xenon from Bluhm industries (I think that is the correct spelling) It works well and there is no dimming.

I took the cheap way out... Sylvania Silverstar bulb... and then added an LED tail light and eliminated any dimming when braking. Much brighter than the stocker was... and now I have a spare bulb to boot.

the higher watt lights dont overheat the wiring, or damage the stator.

The PIAA bulbs have the power outage of a bigger bulb but still consume the same amount of power from your stator 55-80w which is the same as the stock bulb, So NO you won't burn out the stator.I ve had minr in for two seasons now without a problem.

I did this as well, and finally got to try it this weekend! The SilverStar didn't do much on low beams, but on High's I could really tell... The LED works great too!

would a 100w-80 zenon be ok, or would it do damage.
I don't know what effect the 100/80W would have on the stator.
Your going to be pulling about 8.3 amps on high and 6.6 amps on low
vs 5.4 and 4.5 amps for the stock bulb.
The wire gauge looks to me to be about 14 awg which will safely handle about 15 amps so as far as wiring (at least at the bulb) it will handle the amps.

I took the stock bulb in with me to Autozone... matched up the model number to the Silverstar. Easy as pie.
