decided that today was gonna be the day to clean my powervalves ive come to notice that when i took out the 1st valve(clutch side) i noticed that im missing a part its the part im holding in the 1st picture is it posible for the sled to work for months without a problem without this piece???
Im gonna replace it but i was wondering if i should be looking for any bigger problems, all though everything looks fine on the motor side and the cable side it looks like nothing was hurt.
Any help at all i would appricate it.
And in the pictures where im holding up a cleaned valve see that brown section on it how in the hell can i get that off its like its stained or burnt right on there it cant be scraped off with a razor like the rest was.

You can just leave that brown stain on there, it isn't going to hurt anything or make carbon collect faster. As for that valve guide being missing, that is weird. Have you ever cleaned your valves before? Did you buy the sled used? Whoever cleaned them last time must have lost it. I guess it could work without it, it just has a lot of room to move around and may not always come out straight, may bind on the edges of the cylinder down in the slot. Lucky the cable never broke or anything. Get a new one, check everything over good and run her.

Sounds dumb but does that valve guide happened to be stuck in the cylinder where it came from. Iv had it where all the crap around it makes it look like there isnt a guide in there but really there is, or like you said, it is very possible that you may have dropped it taking it off.
Dont run the motor without it, bad idea.

so is what ur saying i cant run the motor without it because its a bad idea.
so that must mean i lost it today when i took it out and never noticed it because before i took out the valves i was drving it, driving it real hard too and nothing happened. Im gonna take another look around before i buy one.
Does anyone know how much they are.
