Hi guys, I have only posted a couple of times but I am constantly reading what's posted. I love all the info that is on this site, and I think it's great that you are all so eager to help those of us that are in need.
I have a 97 vmax600 xtc, and would like to get a little more out of her. I have done the reed spacers, and am toying witht the head gasket mod. I ride mostly trails and was wondering what I can do with clutching to get more pull out of her. Currently it is all stock. Can I run a multi angle helix, if so any suggestions would be great. Spring/weight changes? I tried to search the tech section, but I couldn't find any 600 twins, they were all 600 triples.

8ab weights; 50/44 helix, green secondary spring at 60 wrap. Clutch it to run at 7800 rpm. I think if I remember that far back 2.4 gram rivets in both holes was close.

Thanks for the quick response Turk. I will give it a try. I'ts finally snowing here in NY! Parts of the Tug Hill reagion have gotten 1.5' to 2' of snow today! Just might get to ride this year after all!

the stock rollers are fine. 8ab,s have lots of meat down low to squeeze the belt hard, even with larger rollers.
