Buy the Heavy Hitter clutch kit from Thunder Products and then send me a PM. I will give you my settings. My stock Viper pulls real hard and runs with every 800 twin I have ever rode with. Just ran a new '06 REV800 'gade this weekend on the lake and my Viper held it's own. Also runs with all my buddies RX-1's. This setup you can set it up and then not have to touch it. It runs very consitent. Everyone that rides my sled is impressed with it's performance.
I'll have a stock Viper on the track dyno hopefully in the next week or so testing the Heavy Hitters, Heel Clickers, 8DN-20's, Super Tips, and stock setup as well. I will post all information when I'm done.
This is my clutch set up, I weight 170 pounds and have 96 studs and have a 2002 viper :Get a 48/40 helix Run 3 grams heel, 1st hole empty & 3 grams tip (HEEL CLICKERS)with the red primary spring & use a green yammie secondary spring at 80 degree twist. I rev at 8600 on top night and day, many are happy with 8400 but i like a little over rev for top end.
do a search for user kirkswim. his set-up is posted in here under viper clutching or some damn thing. pulls really good on the trails and gives his buddys rev800 a good workout when they ride togheter.
Turk:
I just installed what you perscribed for my girlfriends 99 SRX 7 and that thing now hauls the mail. The fastest I've ever had my 01 SRX 7 was 185 on the speedo on a very long strech with about $800 and numerous hours of tuning. Yesterday I had her SRX to 185 speedo in a very short distance. She had it to 195 speedo on the lake before she let off. NOw I'm afraid she will top end my on my 03 RX1.LOL.
The reason I ask about the Viper set up is now she smokes all the Vipers IN our group and 1 of my buddies wants and econnomical set up.
Hats off to Turk and others on this site for their set ups and assistance to others in need for speed.
