What do you think? 07 Sleds

i think the 2007 "phazer" lineup is UGLY.... What was yamaha thinking when they put that grizzly windshield and the raptor bumper on it... I can see why yamaha made a 80hp sled but did they really need 5 of them? Wheres the 155+hp motor. Yamaha I am not impressed. Terrible year now i got to wait for the 08's which i hope will be better.

I'll keep the vmax.. Don't like the phazer at all so far, but I like some of the other models, if I could get on the site to see them I'd be more specific.. guess no more venom/viper...

not every one need a mucle sled. i for one would not be able to handle anything more then my sxr 700 in the trails around here. id love having a quick little 450 lb sled.

And back in 1984 everone questioned the "Phazer" with its, at the time, wacky looks. I Like it, I Like it alot but I see NO "cross-over" version. I think I'm going to order up the Mt.Lite and shave the track some or change the track. I'd love a 14x136x1.25 tracked version of the PZ.

I think there pretty sweet, the venture suckss its the uglyest thing ever i think if they make some turbos for them and make them pump 150 or so horse alot of ppl will like thema little better weighiing less then most sleds and havin 100+ hrs would be sweet, but rember the orignal phazer is a light afordable mid powerd sled soo its mostly for the new riders out there but i like them i like the phazer mountina light its pretty sick looking

I think the new Phazer is a sled that people will get used to. From what I have been seeing on some of the forums is that there are a lot of people that like the new Phazer both young and old but more so the younger crowd. If the Phazer can get more young people into the sport I say great. It will strengthen the love of the sport and strengthen the love of Yamaha's which is good for all of us.

why not save the phazer name for a more traditional new model. and come up with a cool new name for this thing. oh and by the way man is it ugly. but even though i don't like the phazer or venture i still bleed blue.

i look at it as, keep the moded sx for the lake, and get a PHAZER for those rough trails and hardccore jumping. i sure as hell cant jump my sx!

Not impressed... I understand there's a gap that needs to be filled, but when was the last time an entry level type sled was given so much hype?

I guess it's okay for backyard riding or for a beginner, but that's about it. 80HP at 470lbs is not all that impressive, IMO. Then the "looks" factor or lack of, tops it off for me. They look like they were pulled off of the assembly line a little too early.

If I were shopping for an entry level sled I think I'd go with a REV550X over the phazer. Other than being a 4stroke, what would make a beginner go with a phazer over a comparable sled, the MXZ REV550X?

REV 550X
cost $1,000 less
weighs 20-30lbs less
more HP
Is probably a comparable bump sled

I personally think alot of people are going to be surprised on how well it performs. When things get tight and twisty I have a strong feeling that a 700 triple will be able to keep up. This is gonna be a awesome trail sled with unmatched performance. Most SRX's are for going straight and fast and do it well. Looks may be off a little. But I bet performance will be dead on. It has more horsepower than a raptor 4 wheeler and weighs around the same. Those raptors run pretty good. I remeber blowing people away in the tight and twisty trails with a 92 polaris indy trail 488 fan cooled and they were on 600 triples. Had time to have a smoke by the time they caught up. They catch me in the straight away and I walk away when the turns start coming. Yamaha did just right if you ask me.

I want a Phazer Fx that sled is awesome! After watching the little videos it looks liek it really hammers through there course no problem, and looks as if it scoots very well! I too think a lot of people will be surprised by it! Awesome sled good job on yami making a new sled every year since 03!!
