Gees guys sorry for bringing this up in this forum, but a friend of me just got a 1995 ZRT800 and now it`s giving him a hard time.

Last night we where out riding, I parked my sled due to little snow and little belt lubrication/cooling. My friend is kind of crazy behind the bars, the three of us rode up on the mountain on his ZRT, quite a funny ride infact.

However, this morning when he was going to fire it up, it was so hard to pull that it was impossible to start it. It has always been very hard to pull, but now there is something wrong.

Tested the compression, 115 120 120psi. When you turn the engine by hand at the primary, it seems "normal" to turn, but I guess we can be fooled since the starter house has a much higher gear ratio.

We removed the starter house, it seeme to turn freely.

I wonder if there are any Arctic Cat forums similiar to our totallyamaha forum?.

:).

check your belt deflection - if the belt is riding too tight in the primary it will be hard to pull.
