I posted this on the .net site but it's within a post that might not get read, so I thought I would try here too. I changed the inner hole rivets on my stock 98 srx weights(8DF)because of over revving.(Turk recommened 4.5 in each hole) I weighed the new rivets before I put them in and they were exactly 4.5 grams, just like they should be. The 8DF weights alone weigh 37.84 grams. 4.5g in each hole would be 9 grams of weight, plus the 37.84 of the weight itself should be 46.84 total. They're not! Each weighs differently, one is 48.1g and one is 47.9g and one is 47.6g. I thought the outer rivet, which is the original from the factory was a 4.5gram, but it can't be. If my math is correct one is 5.76g, and one is 5.56g, and one is 5.26grams. What is going on here? There aren't any rivets that heavy. There is a difference of .5gram between all three weights. Won't that make the clutch out of balance? Also I weighed them on two different scales and they are calibrated right. What should I do about this?
