OH MAN
here we go. this is where we rip back on arctic cat. i can see it now. this thread will be funny. i cant BELIEVE that a 1100 CC 4 stroke motor can only put out 123HP LOL with that much weight i bet the new 500cc 80HP 450LB phazers can smoke that thing LOL They should have just asked yamaha for help on this one. Shame on arctic cat. yous should be hanging your heads for bashing yamaha in 2003 when the RX-1 came out. sleds may weigh the same but atleast the RX-1 is 100cc's smaller and STILL puts out another 20HP LOL looks like you have a winner there arctic cat LOL YEA RIGHT :yam:

Does this mean we can start making fun of them because cat made a tank of a sled with 123 hp, and is heavier then the apex????? :Moon:

Dont compare it to the apex. Compare it to the RX-1 The Rx-1 is hands down the way way much better sled. more HP and smaller engine than the new cat. Come on Cat, stick your foot in your mouth DEEP :yrules:

Thats true very true....what a joke....LMAO....Hey Artic CRAP.. :Moon:

I know its fun, but remember what makes TY the best snowmobilers site on the web! Easy on the Bashing! ;)!

Can anyone verify the hp on that new Cat? 123hp from an 1100cc motor seems very low! If Cat is going the same direction as Yamaha did with the RX-1, then why isn't this thing equipped with a Suzuki bullet-bike style motor pumping out similar #'s???

the low numbers are probaly cause infringment laws on yamaha pattons and trying to find a way to get the motor to run as good with out foced air and in the cold.

No it's just there inferior technology...LOL

Not that bad of HP for a twin cylinder 4 stroke of that size, wouldn't be cosst effective to build a higher reving twin cylinder in that displacement. At least they are trying (although kinda pathetically)

not quite sure why they didn't put a grxr motor in it i believe the 1000 inline four is up over 160 ponies. my 750 produces a bung load never had it dynoed though.

I think they didnt use it because they are trying to do something that doesnt have to be as wide as the apex/rx1. smaller more manageable chassis I would guess

hey, at least they are on the 4 banger wagon. i don't care much for cats either (only other brand sled i've liked were the polaris pro x's and x2's ) but they have quite a bit of pull with the gixxer and all. first year for them, blue's been there too, but look at the strides yamaha has made. arctic cat is following in the same steps as blue. weight will go down, power will go up a little and even out, and they'll probably match the phazer lite but by then it will have more hp so they will try for something like it too...
