the Bender kit uses steel sleeves, which are really a pretty archaic technology, nicasil offers a higher yeild strength (way higher) and a lower dynamic coefficient of friction, meaning less parasitic loss, better fuel mileage, and more power (ofcourse the bigger bore of the 835 goes a long ways towards knocking the power gap back down.)
think for a second about what the last performance sled yamaha made that had sleeved cylinders tho, or any manufacturer for that matter.
