I have been thinking of a ski upgrade,Especially since I put the m-10 in.Between the slightly higher sled stance with the m-10 and the ripsaw track I have on there I don't care for the stock ski's so much now.It seems like the simmons would improve stability and tracking.I hear slp slt ski's track good also. What have you guys ran and what are your experiences? Some input would be appreciated, thanks a bunch.

Viper guy, do those skis have very lite steering effort?Iwas told by a guy that they reduce steering effort and wanted to hear your input.
Where do you ride?
What are you riding on.......Trails or Mt Boondocking?
Simmons would work really well for you in the POWDER, I suspect thats where most of your riding will be done. The Simmons are a lot wider than your stock skis and will hold up the front end super sweet in the powder and they turn great as well.
Be sure to go to the TY4 Stroke side, as the Mt Guys talk about their after market skis quite a bit. You will find a lot of good info there.

honestly, cant really say so far. conditions are terrible right now for me (ice and rock solid dirt!) and I have it set up for my old skis still. I had as much weight on the front as possible because I was getting the last bit out of worn carbides. didnt want to get new ones for skis I wouldnt be using
will let you know more once I do some setup and go for a ride, hopefully later today

Well I went out yesterday and found some decent snow. the steering effort IS a lot better, and the handling is a lot nicer. felt darty at first, but that was on my singlewide trail that gets to the main trail. because it is a singlewide trail everyone rides in the same spot and now that it is ice and frozen solid, the ruts that were there are frozen solid and no matter WHAT ski you have, you are stuck in the same ruts as everyone else lol! once on the main trail, the ski rocks. light steering with how I set it up, and it really grabs nice in the corners. feels like power steering

On one of our sleds we installed a rear skid that required an easier steering ski. We opted for the SLP rockers and it worked well. This is not a powder set up.

Thanks fellas,I have been sledding a good portion of this week so I could'nt reply right away.Sounds like its gonna be simmons for me.
I can't believe that no mentioned C&A pro's. I just added them this year and they are awesome, great bite and no darting. I have the razors with 8" bergstrom skegs. Awesome skis and probably half the price of simmons.

C&A's are great skis, i've had them on all of my recent sleds, but i wouldn't go to say that they dont dart at all. They are a very aggressive ski so they can get a little darty if you have them set up for a lot of ski pressure to really rail those corners. Overall, LOVE them though.

what did you pay for the c&a? the skis are cheap, but then add the mounting kit, carbides, etc. the simmons carbides are pretty cheap

I run C&As with 8" carbide on two SRX's and a Wildcat. I like them much better than stock for those sleds but the steering is heavier. I do not know how they work in powder. If I remember, I picked these up when they were on sale (end of season) at one of the Michigan outlets. They were a lot less than Simmons at the time (even with mounts).

One reason I want simmons is for the light steering and also for the wider stance with the dual outside runners which is supposed to aid in stability, especially good I would think since I put in the m-10 which has a little higher ride height even after its broke in.Thanks again for all the comments guys.
I got my C&A's for $240 shipped in the off season from a guy on another board. The skegs were $50 in the off season so $290 total. I then sold my current ones for $80 and did the upgrade for $210...me = happy
I shimmed mine to get rid of the darting and they still bite hard, love them!
