I have an extra set of these plugs and was going to put them into my Venom, but I read that they are not listed for this sled. I ran them in my '97 Mach1 with great results. They don't foul nearly as easy. What is the major difference in these plugs other than the larger recess. They are listed for SRX's. My feeling is they may run a little hotter which is possably why they don't foul as much?

A 9 rated plug is a 9 rated plug no matter the config. , no hotter. The C was the tapper which was suppose to allow for less build up around electrode, so duh, less fouling.
If a machine calls for a 9 plug, any config will work.
The lower the plug number the hotter.

All I know is I used a set of them in my Mach1 for a full season and would have normally have used 3+ sets of BR9ES's in that sled per season. Just wondering why they are not listed for for use in much of anything that I'm aware, other than SRX's. Are ther any advantages in using them in my 600? They cost around $10 Cdn each.

I use the 9ECS in my stock XTC 600,,runs awsome.

Actually my dealer show'd me a spec sheet out of there sevice book
and it calls for the 9ECS in my sled..

Geez, just donned on me to do a search, is there anything on this site that has not been beat to death??????? I'm now educated on ECS's and even EYA's. Like most people new to this site I've had some questions and have just thrown them out there without thinking about doing a search. This is truly the best topic site I have encountered. It would be good however if some of the veterens here had a little more patience for us new guys. I've read some good posts/questions from new members that have gone unanswered. One of the hardest things for beginners in any catagory/forum is knowing what they are searching for and what to type in. ie over-revving.......overrev or is it over-rev.
Don't get me wrong I'm not meaning to complain, but the regulars get answers to repetative questions and the new guys get a bit of a cold shoulder.
This is, like I said the most imformative site on any one topic I have ever encountered and I'm sure it will become bigger than anyones wildest dreams. I hope the readership is open to a little constructive criticism.
