I think I found a problem when I put everything back together on my rear suspension. The shaft 6 (item 35 in track suspension 2) seems to have a cross threaded end on it. The would prove to why there was a bolt there that didn't match the rest of the sled. It threads in about halfway but stops. It's short than the yamaha bolt on the other side. I'm supposed to be leaving Tuesday for the UP (but it could be getting pushed back to next week, don't ask, long story.) What are my chances this shaft is in stock locally and what am I looking at price wise? I have a couple of aluminum washers I could use to make up the difference. Should I just take the bolt and find a tap to fit and try to chase the threads on the inside of the shaft to gain more depth if I can't get the new shaft before I leave?

Why give Yamaha $100. You may not even have to take the shaft out. Clean up the threads with the proper sized tap, and put in the proper bolt. Should be simple, unless the old bolt has broken off inside the shaft.
Well I'm pretty sure the first couple of threads are gone. I tried using the correct bolt from the other side and it doesn't even catch on anything for the first quarter of an inch or so and when it does it's certainly not straight. The "other" bolt catches sooner and is straight, it just doesn't go in the entire way.
I can see how this must have been loose for some riding time prior to me cause the shaft has some wear on it. I'll check on availability of either fixing with the correct bolt or a new shaft and if none of those are available I might just have to tap it to fit the bolt I have.
