ok i removed the clutch for a rebuild and replace the primary sheave, but before my sled was enhgaging at 4600 to 9100, how can i drop these revs to 8400-8600, i think its stock primary has 8CH wieghts, with i think 4.5gram rivets in each hole(looks like it)
i have no spring shims and the rollers are outside diam .5890"
i think the spring is stock but it has been painted, was black now its orange.(tryed to remove the paint but cant find anything)

the secondary is helix 51 and green stripe spring.

I have a 97 sx 700

thanks Jay

contact turk or look at teh tech pages for a set up. id say start witha hole new set up cuase if u dont know what ur spring is its gonna be hard to tune it. also a 51* helix seems steep 45 is stock. have one for sale. if ur interested. alos have a red secondary spring, but that for a 500 unless thats what turk recomends. usaly to drop ur RPM u take twist out of ur secondary spring. liek set it at 40 ot 50 insted of 60*(stock) or ad weight to teh tips of ur weights. IMO id say reclutch it spend teh money to get it right insted of playing around trying to get ur RPMS down if teh rest of the clucthing doesnt match ur power curve. i dont know much about clucthing but im pretty sure if ur sled shits to fast ur sleds gonna bog of if the shift rate dosent match ur HP curve ur gonan have to much HP when ur not shifted out properly or not enough HP when u need it in teh shift. eiterh way its a loss of performance.

Your helix is a 45 degree. Changing rollers to a larger diameter will raise rpm,s & also using a different primary spring will hurt you. I think you are using a long style primary spring with a short cover. That will cause really high engagemnt & cause the primary spring to coil bind which will cause the high rpm,s.
