needle clip
Exciter, are you saying that you raised the C-clip on the needle? Ours was on the 3rd groove from the top so we moved it up one. I think thats the right direction to go. Right? We did check the main jet and it was stock. The needle did have a little taper to it where it slides into the main jet. Could a needle wear out that bad? The guzzler has about 5000 miles on it but so does mine.

The higher you lift the needle the more it feeds gas.

verify that all three sleds have exact same carb tuning.. (do they?).. then if carbs are clean and float needle/seat are ok then other factors left to cause this might be clutches, belt, track tightness,brake caliper and or choke lever position...

Yes, raise the clip, this drops the needle which will feed less gas through the carbs at speeds where the needle is the main factor. Hope this solves your problem.
