can a viper dart from not enough ski pressure? I put in the shims,and it still follows other grooves. I used 3/16 in. shims.When i go into corners, it seems to not want to turn well under power.My track has between 120 and 144 studs in it and i have 6 in. carbides.Love the sled, just need to get it set up correctly.

Try 8 inch carbides and /or a little more pressure up front, also do you have a stock track ? I have a 2002 viper with a stock yoko track 96 studs up the middle. I found with a more aggresive track like the one i pu on my polaris xc it made it push more in the corners, i even took out 24 studs and it made a little bit of a difference.

If your in a deep groove no ski is going to help that.

also check your toe. Should have between zero and 1/8" toe out.

which way do you move the front shock spring to increase ski pressure?

tighter the spring, more pressure. you may have your limiter straps too loose also, making it light in the front and good for straight line, but hurting cornering
