fourbarrel said:For your weight I'd say put the FRA on the top (softest) damping position and see where the control rod gap is,this is where a second person comes in handy.Ideally you want an equal gap top and bottom;if you have more gap on the top now you could take some preload out of the shock spring or vice versa for more on the bottom, add preload if more gap is now on the bottom of the rods. But the softest FRA setting is where yours should be as your a comparative light weight to the rest of us fat bastards LOL!!!
What are those pages from? I tried to resize them but they just got blurry, are they from the service manual or the owners?

(No offense to you, it's a great sled, just too much for you.) I've been snowmobiling for 10 years, and just got a fast sled 2 years ago (99 SRX 600). It's still faster than i need. Sure it's nice to know that you can go 120, but are you experienced enough to think quick enough to not kill yourself at that speed?
I've been riding sleds for about 6 years and just now have been able to get one. I also ride atv's and dirtbikes so its not like i've never rode before and just went out and bought the biggest one because its fast.

ATV's and dirtbikes are a completely different animal, they do NOT go 100+mph.
It's your sled and your life, but i'm telling you that there is no way i'd let a 15 year old kid buy a 700cc SRX.
Just out of curiosity, what other sleds did you ride in your 6 years (since you were 9) of riding?

so it's safe to say that the SRX was a HUGE jump in power for you right?

grow into you're sled. that sled right there bone stock will run with most of the other big boys. put some miles under you're belt. you just got it and you want to go faster you really haven't rode it enough to know what it's capabile of. and remember this and i think i'm quoting daman stock rocks.
