Can anyone tell me if a Ski-doo primary clutch spring will fit in a tall Yamaha clutch? Can anyone tell me the ID, OD and a general free length? The local dealer didn't have any Ski-doo springs in stock and I don't know anyone who has a Ski-doo to ask.
Thanks in advance for any help.

why do you want to do this? Why not just get the right spring?

I'm working on a clutch set up and Ski-doo lists a spring that I believe will help my cause. The rate and compression loads are not availible any place else.
Any help? Anybody?

There is a yamaha spring either from the aftermarket or yamaha direct that will be very similar to the skidoo you are looking at, and it will fit with no guesswork.

another thing to keep in mind guys, is that doo's TRA clutches are completely different than ours, and if you're familiar with one, it doesn't necessarily mean that you're gonna be familiar with the other. If you're good on the TRA's, I don't see any reason why not to transplant it to make your clutching easier.
