my story
yes it is possible. I did the same thing with a phazer a few years ago.I put a bored out srv 570 engine in a short track phazer frame. Then i put a 136x1.5'' track on it.I also put dual carbs and a dg racing pipe on. Then i tore the body apart and painted the whole thing black and put silver racing strips down the middle. while i was painting it i tried taking it for a ride with out the panels or anything . i had the brake cable not connected, my key switch was hanging some where and wires were just everywhere, then my throttle got stuck wide open going out of my yard . the only thing i thought to do was put my feet down and try to stop it, that didn't work.it was sort of bogging out going down the hill to the lake behind my house, then caught on when it hit the lake and then i nailed a 30ft jump flying 15 or so ft in the air.i jumped off half way through the air. the snowgo landed in front of me and all i remember is getting snowwashed with a rooster. It took about two laps around this lake the size of a football field rolling, jumping, and flipping, when it finally took a final flight into a patch of willows and got stuck upside down, and died out. When i ran over to it, the track and suspension was only holding on bythe front bolts, the handle bars were gone, front end smashed, and lets just say it was a goner.it was funny to because when i was chasing it around and it was taking jumps, it was leveling itself off. it took about 5 jumps by itself and didn't crash. It took me about a year or so working on it before this happened, and i was 16 at the time.so there's my thought about that, only thing is, is that you have to cut the front brace in the hood to fit the starter. just make sure you brace it up good, or your front will give out on you. it looked pretty good looking though.later
