who do you guys use and why? My dealer is closing and I am going to be out there looking for a dealer with fantastic service. all I ever really need is the fall service and a few occasional parts, not much. and no, I dont have any time to do the service myself, so dont try and convince me to ;) thanks guys, cheer up a really bummed yamaha guy :(

Town & Country up in Conway has a great inventory and decent prices on parts & accessories. Don't know about service - do all my own. My local dealer is Leighton's in Lee. They have to order most parts, but they give me good service on ordered stuff and a good discount (I bought my V-Max there)

are you happy with leightons?? I have been there a few times and they seem ok... but no real experience :( man this really sucks :( might get a cat next time around, there is a dealer in pittsburg, and service is a strong point with me. sucks to have something go wrong and have the nearest dealer be 2 hours south :(

at least with a cat I would have a dealer. I wouldnt buy a toyota or a honda if there wasnt a dealer to service it. they all break. at least when I needed service I could get it with the cat :( and I WOULD need it lol! o well, maybe the cat dealer will pick up the yamaha dealership!!! that would be fantastic!!!

A friend told me the Pittsburg Cat dealer is for sale too.

BTW - Get ahold of yourself man !!!!! Step down to the Cat cause 1 Yammi dealer closes the door????? Don't be ridiculous!!

:yrules:

the thing is, I ONLY ride in pittsburg, the closest dealer is 2 hours or so SOUTH! I wouldnt trade in the viper right away, but when it came time I might consider it. just SUCKS not having any service even remotely in the area. I drive a civic, so if something broke I would be driving 4 hours south to grab dads truck, drive 4 hours north to get the sled, then 2 hours south to get it serviced. and no, I couldnt drive the truck up in the first place, it is needed to stay home for plowing :( I dont WANT to ride green, but wouldnt have too many choices in that situation. like I said, it sucks man :( how reliable is the source about the cat dealer?? man that sucks too!

Calm down...your on a Yammie. Nothing big ever goes wrong...Bullet proof pedigree!!!! Breathe in, breathe out. LOL

yeah bucky, I saw that the last time I went through. I am not really worried about the sled, just when you build that kind of relationship it sucks when it is over. they have akey to the garage and when we get up there the sleds are all serviced and ready to go for th efirst ride of the year. when little things do happen, they fix it the same day and keep me on the trails. had a pv cable snap 2 years ago. they fixed it within an hour, I was able to ride there, wait for it and ride home. the took another sled off the lift for me to keep me on the trail. that will be hard to find again, and will never be that cloes :( jsut bummed man. need a thumper more than ever now, less preseason tune up required. just chaincase and motor oil :) sounds like a good enough reason ;)

last year was bad for them, and I know what the snow is this year :( I know vince was also getting frustrated trying to keep a lot of ridiculous people happy. he said he had one guy call from the border to tell him his sliders were melting. vince had jsut been in the area and knew there was poor conditions and that that was the reason for it. the guy actually wanted him to drive to the border and explain how to solve the issue and was actually upset when vince said he couldnt do it. thats a ridiculous request I think lol! they are good, but there are limits for everyone!
