I have a VMAX tripple but I would start with clutching, adjustable transfer rods. What do you have for a track and skis.

Skis are stock. Track 1" ultimate traction, kimpex, 96 studs

if they are the metal skis...change them for a set of plastic skis....big difference.

I have heard that reed spacers where an easy way to get a little more power. Do you know anyone who has tried those? How much$ are plastic skis going to cost?

I have reed spacers on both my machines and there is a noticable difference in throttle responce. Go the the tech page and look at reed notch information.
There are some manufactures that make a thinner head gasket for the 600 twins which will increase compression. I would start with reed notch or spacers and a good clutch set up.

Do you know the name of the company who makes the thin head gasket? For a different clutch set up do i have to replace the whole clutch system?

Yamaha has a few head gaskets for that machine. They really wake it up.
Highly recommended.

maxximum performance has a thin head gasket, they also have the cluching conponents that you would need to get a little more out of the 600. im looking to make some upgrades to my 600 at the end of the season too. im looking into price perfomance making me a set of high comp heads and maybe a stoker big bore. porting is another option as well, depends of the price range you have.
