my second choice used to be polaris. they are #3 now. they went down hill fast in my opinion! a rt chassis doo would be #2 now. my knees cant handle a rev. they really are a good chassis, just a little too far forward for me.

I am totally torn on what my next sled will be (it will not be yamaha). The REV chassis is the ultimate chassis, but they are having many issues with BRP motors (take a look at dootalk.com some day and you will see how many problems). I am actually probably headed over to arctic cat. The M chassis is a great boondocking chassis coupled with the killer power of the 700 efi motor and the lightest mtn sleds in the business it is hard to look past them. Yes there were problems with the first 03 firecats (recalls) but it seems the problems have lessened over the years and I dont hear of any problems on the 05 and 06 M-series sleds except that they are hard on fuel (what big twin isnt).

If they drop the 800 motor into the M chassis and offer the extended warranty for snowchecked models then I probably will get one for next year, and if I dont get one then there will be tons of guys selling their M7's to get the M8 so I am sure I could get a good deal on a gently used M7 for probably $3500-4000 cheaper than a new M8.

I would say the Rev appeals to me. I have ridden them and the ride is great. Viperguy is in total meltdown mode casue the dealership in Pittsburg is shutting down!!LOL...... For everything holy and pure, don't get Cat.....Pieces of shit IMO!!!!!

I was, but I am getting over that ;) it is just too far away to take them anywhere else. would you travel all the way to pittsburg to get yours tuned up once a year? we have to leave them up there (we have a garage for them there, nothing down here) so I would have to drive about 4 hours north to pick them up, THEN head at least 2 hours south to drop them off. not to mention I would have to go back to pick em up again :( I will still ride the viper a few more years and see how things pan out. a 4 stroke wouldnt need much maint, so I might be fine by the time I al looking again;) tiem will tell. mostly curious what everyone else thinks of the "other" brands lol!

i would never think about riding anything but yamaha or arctic cat my next sled will be either a 2003 or 2004 viper or a 2005 red with white racing stripes arctic cat t660 turbo st

or a red with the awesome silver bubble letters, sabercat 700 i hate the green sabercats and i also hate the red sabercats with the yellow letters

I always liked Ski-Doos but the Rev wouldn't be for me, Hard on the knees. Don't get much time to check out other sites but what is happening to the Rotaxes? I'd probably quit riding and buy another Grizz.

viperking, I liked the looks of the ST, but never got to ride one. the red and white looked good though ;)

the doo motors are having problems with the rings holding up. that is the biggest issue I have heard about, but there was a bunch of little odds and ends :(

I read that quite a while ago in Race Tech and BRP thought they fixed it with titanium rings but ya know a clean running 2 stroke is getting less oil pumped thru it so the chances of trouble are alot higher. Alot of people wonder why Yamaha went to the 4 stroke when there outboard 2 strokes are so good but nothing beats the 4 stroke reliability.

yeah that is the only color that the t660 came in that i liked and i would only get an 05 because the 06's didn't come in red i like arctic cats red and black and green sleds the only color combos i didn't like is the black/green combo of the sabercats and zl 600ss
other than those sleds i said before i would want a zl600ss but probably wouldn't get one because they quit making them in 02 as they did with the mighty thundercat which my dad ownes a 2000 and a 2001 thundercat and we almost picked up a 2002 t cat with esr at haydays that had been wrecked and fixed all except a slight bend in the tunnel for 3200 and all the way home we regreted not buying it because it looked brand new except for that very slight bend and i would also consider a orange 05 or 06 f7 and maybe some day think about a apex gt

and i don't know what i am going to do if they don't make a better looking sled in 08 than they did in 07 because i think both the new yammi and cat are pretty ugly looking

I say cat, theyre peformance is awsome and although theyre build quality is not the best (yamaha #1), they can be maintained to be good runners. I am just disgusted with polaris, everything sucks so badly there, makes me sick. All my trips get screwed over cuz they break down left and right, and thats not even the soul reason for my choice. Just everything sucks.

Skidoo does everything so backwards that I cant understand the logic, primer, and no choke!, give me a break!. Had to wait for my freinds with 670's and 583's everytime they satrt up theyre sleds, even if warm. Sometimes needing to pull the plugs. I dont wana say anymore...

Sorry if I offended anyone with my opinions but this is what I observe and see all the time. Iv worked on far too many polaris and skidoos to ever feel good about them, even brand new ones like the milenium edition grand touring 800.

Ihave had every brand I had a new f6 last year for two months cat is the only sled I won't but everythin is chincy on them and too many problem's.I would have top say ski-doo I think thay make a more durable chasis/suspension than yamaha but you can't beat a yamaha engine.
