i dont think it should be a problem as long as you change the wiring harness because of the dual headlights but you could just keep 1 unplugged i guess.i may be wrong but some1 will chime in..........just remembered that if you change the harness than you would have to change the gauges.

if you don't transfer the electronics the valves wont function.

true never thought of those. so i guess you would need to use the viper gauge & in order for that to work you will need the jackshaft for the speedo hookup...and then if your going to do that then i would buy a dual beam headlight& pod.

the front motor mounts are different, but I think, but I'm not sure, if you put the aluminum part of the sx mounts on the Viper it may bolt in, it looks like it will anyway. Obviously you'll have to have all of the wiring, you'll have to run it with no thermostat or get creative with the thermostat housing, the stock exhaust canister needs to be modified, or use different pipes, I have Bender pipes in mine. I have done this twice, SRX motor in an SX.
As cheap as Vipers are getting you will be able to buy a whole sled for what this will cost. JMO Maxdlx

ya i know
i have a viper that has all the works done to in mpi tunnel every thing but the kitchen sink.
i like to ride my 2000 mm better not as light on the front end when climbing.
besides you can do a bigger big bore on a viper right.
and if you really want to get tired ride the apex mountian, diffrent all together.

well if you already have theh Viper and you like the MM body work I guess the task just became easier, put MM parts on your Viper call it done, everything under the body is the same.............
Coolers
I believe also that the coolers are of lower capacity on the SX chasis and I know that they have 1/2" tubes on them, not 3/4" like the Viper & SRX.

the big bores use the same bore, but the viper has a longer stroke, so more displacement.
My Roomate and I installed a viper motor in an 1999 srx 2 weeks ago and she is up and running, We just have one light hooked up, we did not use the viper drive shaft we will install it in the summer we just kept the orginal speedo installed and installed the Viper gage, the speedo does not work but the rpm's, gas gage, oil, and temp gage all work. We did run into a problem with overheating but BETHEVIPER came through and hooked us up and got on going.
