My plan is to snow check two 07 Attack GT's this weekend. Based on what I have read here lurking around on TY, there are several issues with the 06 sleds that I am pretty concerned about, and I am now starting to wonder if it will be a wise decision. I'm pretty confident they will have the bogie wheel and handwarmer issues resolved by 07. So far here's a list of what I see as concerning issues:
-Chain case
-Rear skid rail cracks, arm cracks, rubbing shocks
-Anything else to add?
I know the sled will have a three year warranty, but I'd prefer not to have to use it in the first place. How well does Yamaha document and resolve issues from year to year?
The last sled I bought was a 00SX700r, and I think I got lucky beacause that chassis and motor had been already been around for years.

wasn't luck. that's quality. i can't say much about yamaha resolving problems in good time. take the W arm for example. i don't think they ever got that right...

maybe look at the rtx, a different skid, or 1 of each

aSRX600guy: I like the RTX too, as I love to jump, but I'm thinking the longer track of the Attack is the way to go to maybee not get stuck as much with a heavier sled. One will be for me, and one for the wife. I'd be more worried about her getting stuck than me though. Most of our riding these days is in the U.P. during the week on groomed trails since I sold my cabin in Gaylord. Back then I was jumping everything I could find on the old SXr, but I think I have that out of my system now and don't want to beat my sled that hard.
Another question for you guys: What were the 06's snow-checking for compared to MSRP?
