i have a 2001 sxr500. when i had it in to repace the snow flap i tore off i checked the oil pump adjustment with thoughts to lower its oil consumtion. when i removed the rubber boot to get at the adjusting nuts i found that it had no threads showing at all. i am running ipone synthetic oil in it. what is the spec for this sled? could this be the reason im only gettin 80mph out of it?

Yup...to Yammies specs,,if it seems still to rich you could back it off to the
lean side a 1/8",,but keep a close eye on your oil consumtion.
Thats where i got mine(lined up) on the 600..i'd rather use a little more oil
