Anybody have problems with rip saw racheting on 02 viper?

Anybody have problems with rip saw racheting on 02 viper? I have just put a Rip Saw 1.25 on my 02 Viper if I don't have my track really tight (tighter than manual specs) it rachets or (slips) when I excellarate hard or when I get good traction. Just wondering if any one else has had this problem or has any ideas what i can do? Thanks
 
i dealt with the same on my 02 viper, but it had 8 tooth drivers. i eventually went to extroverts and fixed that problem. now my 06 attak is racheting! the track has closed windows, so if i cant get it to stop then i need a new track and extroverts! #$%&* :o| i thought yamaha got their crap strait with the mono! why is it racheting?
 
i had same problem with my srx, like he said you can tighten the limiter straps a bit, and maybe set the rear shock a little stiffer..
 
less transfer will work but best solution is extrovert drivers
 
change the transfer rod settings to transfer less. when the skid unloads to transfer weight it will rachet. my 136 viper with a ripsaw did/does the same thing, especially in deep fluffy snow where track speed and ballooning help this issue to get worse. play with the transfer adjusters till it goes away (alot easier if you have spin adjusters in stead of stock jamb nuts, good 40 buck investment). it is the nature of the beast though, too much traction overides the drivers available grip on the inner drive lugs on the track. ski
 
The Ripsaw hooks up so good that you may be hearing that, and not the track racheting. I noticed it shakes the sled a little when it hooks which could be giving you the same felling as the track racheting. You will notice a little more track noise at higher speeds.
