I am considering a new sled purchase and looking for a trail that is best value for the money. I do not need mega HP just a fun reliable versatile sled.

How about the Nytro? I know you're looking for a trail sled, but its suspension could also help when it gets rough.

Warrior gets my vote, but that was a hard descision when compared to the Rage. Thats just me because there is alot more mods that suit the Warrior than to the Rage.

snow check a 07 phazer if ur not real worried about high HP, i can see ur rings a 600 twin and thatw as only around 90 hp and a tank the toqure and HP to weight ratio will beb alot higher then ur od max. id snow check a phazer fx if i was in ur shoes. plus u could get it cheeper then alot of the sleds u have up there.

The only thing I am worried about is we go on up to 200 mile daily rides and I like the FX, it has the best suspension out of all of them and do not see a windshield available yet. 200 miles with no windy may be a little rough. It was -45 a couple years ago. I will still keep the old 94 V-max 600. I updated the secondary to 96 style and installed a heavier primary spring. I also have 96 pipe and carbs and skid from a pro-action skid from a 2000 Venture 600.

if you look around at some of the photos they do have a windy that attaches to the bars and someone on here or the 4-stroke side was able to ride one and said that it worked great. that he thought he would be froze but he was perfectly fine. so yes, there are windy options for them.

'07 Phazer.
Im going to wait a year and order an '08 Phazer myself (give them a year to work the bugs out of it).
Which Phazer to get depends upon your needs, but Id get the Phazer GT if it were me. I do mostly trail riding on groomed trails, so the GYT-R shocks arent high on my list, but it can get pretty cold where I ride, so the big windshield and knee wind deflectors are high on the list.
EFI, electric start, reverse and a 4-stroke engine all for $7200. How can you go wrong?

There is already talks of a 850 or 900 version using 2-426 or 450 cylinders.
If they did that I would definitely be more apt to buy one

I am all for the vector GT. just a SWEET sled for the cash
I hear the phazer has some vibrations in the bars. everyone at the snodeo seemed to complain of that after test riding. hopefully it is just that they have really stiff mounts or something, not like them to make an unbalanced motor
